The Introduction of Care Options Rx, LLC
Care Options Rx, LLC is a long-term care pharmacy that has emerged from over 45 years of progress forged by Alert Pharmacy Services. Alert Pharmacy was founded as a family-owned-and-operated pharmacy that has been continuously serving long-term care and senior living facilities, as well as operating retail pharmacies, in Pennsylvania and northern Maryland since 1974.
The story of Care Options Rx is first and foremost an account of people. It began over four decades ago with Alert’s founding partners, Richard Gobin and Paul Hawbecker. The philosophy for Alert Pharmacy was and continues to be this: “The individual is the center of Alert’s business and we operate on a living ethic, rather than a simple work ethic. Each person–client, resident, or staff member–is an individual with individual needs and individual talents. Alert Pharmacy strives to meet these needs and develop those talents.”
In the early 2000’s Richard’s son, Bryan Gobin, ascended to lead the pharmacy as the Chief Executive Officer. He successfully took the company into the technology era, while never compromising its founding philosophies of people-centered care.
January 2018 would see Alert Pharmacy’s long-term care division transfer to Care Options Rx, allowing for further investment in state-of-the-art technology, as well as bringing together a management team with over 200 collective years of long-term care pharmacy experience. In addition, Care Options Rx has devised a more refined approach to internal operations, as well as external customer-focused programs and value-added offerings.
Many of the long-standing employees of Alert Pharmacy Services are now Care Options Rx team members. Our staff continue to be passionate about the work they perform, and most importantly, take a great sense of pride in delivering a high level of customer care and satisfaction to our clients.
